Mindful Resilience Flow

Be prepared for a mindful vinyasa flow integrating the fundamentals of yoga through intelligent sequencing built around sun salutations with a focus on creating endurance, strength, and balance in a gentle, nurturing manner. This class allows more time in each pose to truly experience the effects of dynamic alignment and connection to the breath, inviting you to establish a source of strength and resilience on and off your mat. Restorative poses aimed at creating a long, slow extension of the body, unwinding of compacted fascia, and releasing of muscles and tension will also be incorporated. This class is interwoven with bits of ancient wisdom, poetry and music to inspire a balance between physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Bio

Heather became interested in yoga while living in Denver in 1997. She moved back to the east coast in 2001, where she raised her son and daughter in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. As her children became more independent, Heather began taking as many yoga classes as she could find in her rural community. Combining the healing qualities of the asana practice with meditation and spending an abundance of time in nature, she discovered a healthy way to help manage the challenges of living with Multiple Sclerosis. Heather studied for her Registered Yoga Teacher certification in Asheville, NC, and became certified in 2018. Heather offers a mindful vinyasa flow in her classes, focusing on the breath, balance, strength and resilience. She lives in Morgantown, and enjoys live music, photography, camping, hiking, snowboarding and anything outdoors.
