Julie Hawkinberry is a West Virginia native and has lived in Morgantown for almost 20 years. Julie has been practicing yoga since coming to Morgantown as a WVU student in 1999 but has more consistently been engaged with the practice in the past 10 years, exploring vinyasa flow, Power Yoga, & Hatha Yoga. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teaching Training with Moonbow Yoga & Wellness and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance. Julie thinks of Yoga as a journey wherein we can explore and discover the fullest potential of our bodies, hearts, and minds. Her yoga practice gives her a deeper sense of compassion, strength, joy, and mindfulness that is carried off the mat and into every-day life.
Julie enjoys all the outdoor adventures that West Virginia and the surrounding areas have to offer, including hiking, camping, backpacking, biking, skiing, paddling, and climbing.
Julie’s classes will provide you with open, non-judgmental style of yoga that weaves together intelligent and creative (and fun!) sequencing with insightful relaxation methods.
